INCLUDED IN LAND PACKAGE TOUR PRICE:
Transport services while on tour in Vietnam, including in-country flights that are part of the tour itinerary, Vietnamese visa pre approval (see more information about visas below), airport transfers, accommodations, meals (except where noted), guide/translator, sightseeing per itinerary, experienced tour leader, support vehicles and crew, water and snack stops.

NOT INCLUDED:
International airfare to and from Vietnam, individual airport pickup and transfers which are not part of the tour time schedule, Airport departure tax, optional tips or gratuities for Vietnamese trip leader and support crew, hotel and airport porter fees, additional hotel fees and other expenses that may be necessitated by airline schedule changes or extension of stay in Vietnam or factors beyond our control, entrance fees to optional exhibits or activities, personal telephone calls, faxes, e-mail, hotel in-room mini bar use fees, liquor or other drinks not included as part of meals, medical immunizations, travel medical and cancellation insurance, laundry, items of a personal nature, etc.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotels/Resorts are luxury or upscale, deluxe rooms, double occupancy, with air conditioning and private bath/shower, with hot and cold water. On the cycling tours, on some days, the hotel will be best available in that locality. Hotels are subject to change. A list of hotels with their telephone and fax numbers will be provided before departure.

SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT
Our land package tour prices are based on double occupancy. If you request a room by yourself, you will charged the appropriate supplement. If you are traveling alone and request a roommate, we will make every effort to match you up with a roommate of the same gender. However, if there is no one with whom you can share, you are charged the full single room supplement. If a single room must be assigned to you due to last minute roommate cancellation or incompatibility, or for any other reason, the single room charge, or applicable prorated charge, will be assessed.

MEALS
Breakfasts are usually western style (Eggs/omelettes, bread, butter, marmalade, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and tea). The traditional Vietnamese breakfast Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and rice porridge will also be available. Most hotels/resorts have a sumptuous breakfast buffet from which you can chose your selection. Lunches and dinners consist mostly of Vietnamese cuisine. Luncheons and dinners are carefully planned and will provide a variety of the best Vietnamese cuisine. If you desire vegetarian meals, you have come to vegetarian heaven. For those with special dietary needs, we will make every effort to accomodate them. On some cycling days lunch may be picnic style (sandwiches and fresh fruit). Rest stops during cycling days will feature snacks, fresh fruit, lots of bottled water and energy drinks.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY
Tour members have the responsibility to select the trip that is most appropriate for their physical abilities and interest.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CYCLING TOUR MEMBERS
The cycling tours are for people of all ages from recreational to advanced cyclist. It helps to have a good sense of adventurism. Cyclist should be in good physical condition. Support vehicles will be available for those who have had enough cycling for the day. The sweeper bus will always be behind the last and slowest cyclist. There are always tour participants who cycle very little, or some, who cycle not at all. Those individuals seem to enjoy the tour as much as those who peddle every day.

APPROXIMATE AIRFARE TO VIETNAM
Airfares from the US to Vietnam and return vary, but can be found for about $1000 (economy class)on the Internet and from travel agents. The time period near the lunar new year holidays (January and February) is the busiest travel season to Vietnam and airline seats must be booked far in advance. The closer it is to the lunar new year, the higher the cost of the airfare and the more difficult it is to make reservations. Therefore, it is very important that you make your airline reservations as early as possible. If you are planning to use some of your frequent flyer miles, you must contact the airline directly. Discover Vietnam, LLC has no agreement or contract with any airline or travel agency. However, recently we have been very satified with the services provided by Ocean Pacific Travel, Inc. in helping us with our airline reservations. VIETNAM ENTRANCE AND EXIT VISA
Most visitors to Vietnam must have a Vietnam Entrance and Exit visa before departing for Vietnam. International airlines may not permit boarding if a valid Vietnam Entrance and Exit visa in not in your passport. Discover Vietnam, LLC will obtain for you, pre-approval of your visa from the Vietnamese Office of Immigration. This will expedite the approval process and reduce costs. In the past most of the pre-approved visas for the Discover Vietnam tour members have been issued by the Vietnamese Consulate in San Francisco. However, the visa can be obtained at any Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate. We just need to know where the visa will be issued before applying for the pre-approval. After registering for the tour, you will receive detailed guidance on how to obtain your Vietnamese Entrance and Exit visa.

On the top of each page there is a link titled "Travel Visa Application Form". Click on that link and you can download and print the "Application for Entry and Exit Visa"
This is form that you will need when you apply for your Vietnam Entry and Exit Visa at one of the Vietnamese Embassies or Consulates. This form was issued by the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, where most of our tour members obtain their "Entry and Exit Visa" for Vietnam. As mentioned above you will receive detailed guidance on how to do this once you have registered and we have obtained the visa pre-approval from the Vietnamese Department of Immigration.


TOUR PAYMENT
For the featured tours, a $500 deposit is due at time of registration, unless you register within 60 days of the tour date, at which time the full tour price must be received with your registration. For those that register early and make a deposit, the tour balance is due 60 days before the start of the tour. For trips that part of our tour extension offering, we do not require a deposit. After receiving your registration form, you will receive a complete packet of material including visa application forms, trip cancellation and medical insurance application, what to bring, medical issues, information on the weather, etc.

TOUR CANCELLATION

If written notice of cancellation is received by our office 60 days prior to the beginning of the tour, you will receive a full refund minus a $200 cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 31 to 60 days before the beginning of the tour will result in a 50% loss of the tour cost payment. Cancellations within 30 days of the beginning of the tour will result in a loss of 100% of the tour cost payment. It is highly recommended that tour participants consider travel and cancellation insurance in case unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, causes you to cancel or leave the tour early. In the highly unlikely event that Discover Vietnam should cancel the tour, a full refund of all monies received will be made.

Please complete the registration form, providing all required information. Read all of the information on the second page carefully. Sign your name and date the form. If you are a tour participant under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must also sign in the space provided.
