Perched on a plateau 5000 feet (1500 meters) above sea level the old hill station of Dalat was and remains the geographic antidote to the heat and humidity of Saigon, 300 kilometers south. Its fresh air, pine-clad hills and mild temperatures have earned Dalat the label of "City of Eternal Spring."
Dalat's treasure of colonial French villas and chateaus is unrivaled in Vietnam. Dalat is still a luxury retreat, where you can play golf on one of the finest courses in Indochina, visit beautiful temples and waterfalls, and enjoy the town's honeymoon atmosphere.
Dalat is truly the jewel of the central highlands, dotted with lakes, evergreen forests and gardens. Its cool climate and park-like environment makes this one of the most delightful places of Vietnam.
DAY 1
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to a first class hotel.
Depending on your arrival time you stroll and browse the many shops and boutiques on Dong Khoi Street, or relax at the inviting courtyard swimming pool.
Dinner is on your own.
DAY 2
After breakfast at the hotel, you will picked-up and transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight to Dalat. Flight time is about 40 minutes.
At the Dalat Airport you will be met by the Sofitel Plaza Hotel van. After checking in your afternoon is free for exploring Dalat. Lunch is on your own.
Dinner will be at the Sofitel Palace Hotel's unrivaled Le Rabelais Restaurant.
After dinner, proceed downstairs to the very atmospheric Larry's Bar, named after the late founder of DHL Larry Hillblom.
If you plan for a round of golf at the Dalat Golf Course on Sunday, you should book this directly with the Sofitel Palace Hotel golf club. They will reserve your tee off time and provide you with all the equipment, i.e. golf clubs, golf balls, clothing, you will need to enjoy a round of golf, including a caddie, golf cart and transportation from the hotel and back.
DAY 3
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Your day is pretty much your own. The hotel will be able to arrange for you a sightseeing tour of Dalat. Or possible you will prefer to spend the day on the golf course. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
DAY 4
After breakfast the Sofitel Palace Hotel will transport you to the Dalat Airport for your flight back to Saigon. There you will be met and taken to your first class hotel for one additional night in Saigon. Lunch is on your own.
