Extend your stay in Ho Chi Minh City and take a one day trip to Tay Ninh province.

The area’s dominant geographic feature is the 850 meter high Nui Ba Den (Black Lady Mountain). Take a cable car ride to the top of the mountain where you can visit several temples and have a magnificent view of the surrounding area, including Cambodia. After visiting Nui Ba Den we will take you to the Caodai Great Temple just outside of Tay Ninh City, the center of the Caodai Holy See religion, where you may observe one of the four daily prayer sessions. Caodaism is a colorful and eclectic potpourri that includes bits and pieces of most of the religious philosophies known in Vietnam during the early 20 century: Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, native Vietnamese spiritualism, Christianity and Islam.

After lunch, you will have a guided tour through the legendary tunnel system of Cu Chi, a system of over 250 km of tunnels that at one time stretched from the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon all the way to the Cambodian border. This tunnel system was the center of Viet Cong activities during the Vietnam war.
